Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy of ForteBank JSC (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") governs the relationship between ForteBank JSC (hereinafter referred to as the "Bank") and the user of the Forte mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "User").

Access to this Policy is available on the official website forte.kz.

The protection of your personal information is very important to the Bank, and we pay special attention to safeguarding the data collected and processed when using the Forte application.

The Bank must ensure the security of personal information received from and requested from the Users of the Forte application in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

By agreeing to this Policy, the User gives their unequivocal consent to the processing of personal data, which enables the User to interact with the Bank within the framework of the concluded banking service agreement. If the User does not agree with this Policy, they have the right to refrain from downloading the Forte application, which provides access to remote service features.

1. The Bank undertakes to ensure the security of personal information received from and requested from the Users of the Forte application in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. The Bank is committed to taking measures to prevent unauthorized access by third parties to information that constitutes the User's banking secrecy. Such information may only be provided to third parties in accordance with the procedures established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. The parties agree that all information obtained by them under this Policy is confidential, and its disclosure to any third parties in any form, without the prior written consent of the other party, is prohibited.
4. The User must keep account data, such as login and password, confidential from third parties. The User agrees to promptly notify the Bank of any suspicion of unauthorized use of their account.
5. The use of passwords and SMS codes implies the transmission to the User or storage by the Bank of any confidential information. The Bank undertakes to take all necessary organizational and technical measures to prevent third parties from accessing such information before it is transmitted to the User, as well as during the storage of the specified information.
6. The prohibition established in this clause does not apply to cases where the provision or disclosure of such information is required by persons and authorities expressly authorized by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
7. Users may modify their personal information at any time, including updating or supplementing the information they have provided.
8. When using the Forte application, the Bank may request and/or use the following information: 8.1. Data that is automatically transmitted during use through the installed software on the user's device, including the operating system version and IP address. 8.2. Location data of the User, including geolocation, precise or approximate coordinates of the User’s location. 8.3. Identification data of the User, such as ID number, personal identification number, surname/first name/middle name, date of birth, and biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID) used to establish their identity. 8.4. Access to the mobile device’s camera and media library (photo gallery/video gallery) to create and/or save images and/or photos, save media materials, display the User’s photo in the Forte application, add payment templates, and upload necessary documents. 8.5. Read-only access to the status of the mobile device, including the phone number, current cellular network information, the status of all current calls, and a list of all accounts registered on the mobile device, for enhancing the security of the Mobile application use and for auto-filling the phone number during authorization in the Mobile application. 8.6. Access to contact information (phone book and/or address book, contacts) on the User’s mobile device for auto-filling phone numbers for money transfers and mobile payments. 8.7. Access to messages on the User’s mobile device for auto-filling confirmation codes sent by the Bank via SMS OTP messages for transaction confirmation. 8.8. Information about transactions. When performing transactions for payment of goods and services, money transfers, and other activities, the Bank collects data on the location, time, and amount of transactions, the payment method used, information about the seller and/or service provider, the reason for the transaction if any, and other information related to the transactions. When processing Users’ information, the Bank follows this Policy and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Personal Data and Its Protection".
9. The confidentiality of the User’s personal information is maintained, except in cases where the User voluntarily provides information about themselves for public access to an unrestricted number of people.
